Thank you to ya'll for the birthday greeting.  I just now got back into the website.  Reluctantly, I admit that I forgot how I had logged in.  And rather than just "contact the administrator" ... I was determined to figure it out.  But finally caved in the ask.  :)

ANSWER TO JOE BILL STEPHENS           re:PETE JAMES

HEY JOE BILL.....DO NOT KNOW IF ANYONE HAS CALLED OR UPDATED YOU; BUT SINCE I SEE NO ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION ON PETE JAMES.........I HAVE 'OLD' INFO, BUT MIGHT HELP.  PETE WENT INTO THE SERVICE, I THINK. MARRIED BRENDA BROWN (BRAINERD) WHO'S DAD OWNED BERT BROWN FORD.  THEY MOVED ACROSS THE STREET FROM US IN E. BRAINERD, HURRICANE CREEK SUBDIVISION, about '77-'78?  THEY ALREADY HAD THREE CHILDREN, SO DID WE, AND MY HUSBAND, TOO, WAS IN THE CAR BUSINESS.  WE LIVED THERE 12-13 YRS, BUT PETE AND BRENDA MOVED IN EARLY 80'S??? IF I AM REMEMBERING CORRECTLY, PETE WANTED TO  GO BACK INTO THE SERVICE.  BERT SOLD THE FORD DEALERSHIP, WE BOUGHT SCENIC CITY MAZDA, BERT DIED.......AND, I HEARD PETE MOVED 'BACK TO CHATT' AND WERE IN HIXSON.  THEY DID NOT RECONNECT WITH OUR LITTLE SUBDIVISION, WHICH GOT HUGE......WE LEFT FOR A LITTLE PIECE OF MTN IN OOLTEWAH.  'GOT OUT OF THE CAR BUSINESS'....I SOLD REAL ESTATE AND WAS ONE OF YOUR TOP AGENTS  FOR MANY YEARS.  WORKED ALL CHATT, MTNS ......BUT, SPECIALIZED IN E. BRAINERD, OOLTEWAH.  THEN, MOVED TO ATLANTA FOR 13 YRS WHEN THE TORNADO OF '97 HIT MY HOME AND TOOK ALL BUT ME!!! LARRY WAS IN ATLANTA! KIDS IN COLLEGE!  NOW, WE ARE BACK IN TN, MARYVILLE, AS OF JULY 1ST,'10.......TO BE CLOSE TO OUR 8 GRANDS.  SIX IN KNOX AND TWO IN CHATT.  AND, THRILLED TO HAVE THIS WONDERFUL SITE OUR DEAR CHS FRIENDS HAVE COME TOGETHER AND PRODUCED.  HOPE YOU FIND PETE JAMES.......OR, SOMEONE KNOWS A PARENT OR COUSIN, ANYONE THAT MAY KNOW PETE AND GET INFO TO YOU.  WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE BOTH PETE AND BRENDA AND CATCH UP, too!.........AS WITH SOOOO MANY OF ALL.  HEARD FROM MANY AND SO LOOKING FORWARD TO PEOPLE I NEVER DREAMED I WOULD LOSE TOUCH AND LEARNING OF DEAR ONES WE HAVE LOST BY DEATH.  SO MANY STORIES WE ALL HAVE.........BLESSINGS AND HEARTACHES.   HOPE AS MANY AS POSSIBLE WILL COME THIS AND EVERY YEAR........TIME IS FLYING BY TOO FAST!  IT'S BEEN OVER 40 YEARS AND I DON'T THINK I'VE SEEN YOU SINCE GRADUATION!  LOOK FORWARD TO MID OCT!  HOPE THIS HELPED SOME, JOE BILL!   ALWAYS.....ALICE

Thanks to all my CHS classmates/friends for your support, love and prayers during the illness and passing of my father  Mr. James Kelly, Jr. Dad died on Sun 08/07, at the age of 92. He was at home and died peacefully with my brother, son and myself in attendance. He was buried on Sat 08/13 in Marion County, Tenn with full military honors.  continue to keep me and the 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grand children and 11 great-great grandchildren, and other family members in your thoughts and prayers. I anyone would like please make a donation the Hospice of Chattanooga in memory of him. thanks, and love to all.

William G. Boring Jr. (1965)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all CHS classmates and those of you who were not but are true CHS alumni.  The outpouring of prayer and donations from you has really given me a new perspective about this website.  Not only did we get responses from classmates but also from alumni that I never new and were several years after I graduated.

Thank all of you and to let you know my family is and will recover from this tragic accident, my son took the brunt of the physical abuse to try and shield his children from harm.  He suffered 10 broken or cracked ribs, a broken femur which required surgery to repair and now has a rod in his leg.  The ribs are pretty much healed but it will be several weeks before he can even attempt to walk on the leg.

Brianna suffered a brain trauma and after 2 weeks at TC Thompson childrens hospital in Chattanooga she was sent to Atlanta to the Childrens hospital, and the care she received there was phenominal.

She is back at school half days and is in therapy 2 days per week, we are very confident that she will fully recover.

Thanks to each and everyone of you for your prayers and love, I am sure that and the prayers of others helped bring us through this tragic event.

Bill Boring, Jr.

To Mary Ann Camp,

I, too, have been concerned about the "archive" room at the Dallas Rd site and am willing to help all I can.  I went in there prior to the current principal's tenure and there was stuff EVERYWHERE--rotting!  There was even an oil painting of Col. Bates leaning against the wall covered in dust.  I suggested that they move it to CSAS outside the auditorium, but I don't know if that ever happened.

The more of us who get together and speak up, the better!
