Jean Hicks

Jean Hicks, 74, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away on June 18, 2022. 

She was a 1966 graduate of Chattanooga High School and a 1970 graduate of Erlanger School of Nursing. Jean was a registered nurse at ParkwestMedical Center in Knoxville, Tn., for over 40 years. She was a member of Maryville Church of Christ and attended Red Bank Church of Christ.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, David Hicks, step-mother, Tony Cooke, parents, Frank and Shirley Cooke, and sisters, Judy Nelson and Deloyce Cooke.

She is survived by her life partner, Barry Schenck, brother, Rick (Mary) Cooke, sister, Nora (Joe) Brown; several nieces and nephews; and her cat, Poppy.

A Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, June 25, at 12 p.m. at the Coulter Chapel of the Lane Funeral Home with Wayne Langford officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and are asked to assemble at the funeral home Saturday by 11:30 a.m.: Addison West, Barry Schenck, Bobby Brown, Gary Hicks, Joe Brown and Joshua Brown.

The family will receive friends from Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
