I talk to you not long before you decided life was not worth living. I could not believeyou were gone, you had always been so much fun to be around. I can't remember not knowing you, and you will always be missed.

Karen and I were kids together. She lived just down the street from me. I don't remember how we first met - she was just always there. I can't pass her childhood home to this day without thinking of her and to learn that she is no longer with us was just devastating.

There are some friends who, even though you don't see them for a long time, you just assume they'll always be there. I've thought about Karen so often through the years and just figured someday, we'd run into each other again. This is just so sad.

Oh my God!  You were so special!  An living angel to me and my girls during a very difficult time.  I do hope you are with God in heaven, where you belong.

Love,

Karin Knox Brands

Karen- I have wondered about your passing, and the circumstances surrounding it.  I enjoyed our friendship- and one of the best times I had at CHS was with you at the Valentine's Day dance.  Rest in peace, Karen.  We will all get to see you soon enough.
