Mike Carter (1966)
What a guy--calm, cool, and collected. He never seemed to get excited or out of control. Played together at "the park" for what seems like every day during the summer from the time I was 10 years old until we were well into high school. In the fall, we played football. Drive by his home on Hanover almost every day on my way to school.
Tom Brightwell (1965)
Jimmy Hobbs, another case of the good die young. He and I double dated one New Years Eve after CHS. Both of our dates were from Brainerd. Mine got so drunk Jimmy said let's just leave her on the sofa along with his drunk date. We ended up going to the Krystal, went back around 3 AM, woke them up from a drunken sleep, took them to one of their houses and then went back to Krystal for breakfast. He was indeed a very quiet and calm guy. If would be fun to talk to him in October 2009.
