I briefly knew Susan from City. She was in my homeroom. I remember that she was very kind and a sweet person. After she passed away, I discovered that I attended church with her mom and dad. Susan was a wonderful young woman "who practiced what she preached--kindness."

I lived on the road behind Susan's house until 4th grade, and our families were great friends. Susan and the rest of her family were such warm, kind people. We always had so much fun together. We spent many holidays together over the years, and I am grateful for the memories.

Susan was my first and oldest friend when she passed in December 1984. The day I was born, her mother fixed breakfast for my father, who had just come home from the hospital afer my birth. Susan and I grew up knowing each other from the baby carriage forward. She is the person who convinced me to attend City instead of East Ridge High School, as Sue and I both lived in East Ridge. She was always a lot of fun and mischievious! She got me into a lot of trouble when we were little and I repaid the favor by getting her in trouble, too! My mother and father went to see her in the hospital a month before her death as they were in Georgia/ Tennesee visiting relatives and friends. Sue was a fighter and never gave up to the very end of her life! He son, John was 5 or 6 and Wendy, her daughter was 3 when she lost her fight with lymphoma. She is (and has been missed) by our family greatly.
