We invite all former students who were in the band, choir or symphony to join us in a Salute to the CHS Music Department. Jay Craven, head of the Music Department at City in the 50s and 60s and then head of all Music for the City Schools, will be inducted into the CHS Hall of Fame. He will be introduced by one of his most famous students, George Mabry, Class of 63.
George is Director of the Nashville Symphony Chorus, Professor Emeritus of Music at Austin Peay University and former head of Entertainment at Opryland. We look forward to seeing many of Jay's former students on Friday, October 15, to honor him and his induction into the CHS Hall of Fame.
